KAMLOOPS MEN’S LEAGUE SOCCER

2018 PLAYOFFS – THURS AUG 23 ARE POSTPONED DUE TO SMOKE LEVELS
The League is looking at alternate dates/times.  Please stay tuned.

soccerThe Kamloops Men’s Soccer League is located in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada and has been in existence for almost 50 years. The League is open to all players 18 years of age or older. The season runs from April until August each year.

The League keeps both team and individual player statistics. The League has trophies for the team with the most overall points, the team that wins the playoffs and the Presidents Cup which is a mini tournament held during the season. In addition, there are two individual trophies. The Ryan Schweizer trophy goes to the Leagues top goal scorer and the Frank Savage Memorial trophy goes to the MVP of the playoffs.

AIR QUALITY POLICY

During the fire season, the policy for playing games is as follows:

  1. ALL games will be played as scheduled unless otherwise stated by the League. That is the default position of the League.
  2. Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) must be 7 or lower at 4pm on game day.  At that time, the League will issue a notice of postponement (or not) to team reps.
  3. The KRSL uses the BC Government Air Quality Health Index
  4. Teams and/or players DO NOT cancel games, only the League does.
  5. If no postponement is given by the League and a team is short players, it is a 1-0 DEFAULT (no individual scoring).
  6. The League will attempt to reschedule the match, but if not possible, the missed game will be deemed a 1-1 tie.
  7. In the end, if an individual is not comfortable playing in a match (for whatever reason), that is his right and an individual decision.
  8. DO NOT email or text the League during the business day.
